Senior Portraits seem to be one of those often over looked or procrastinated events in many people's lives. Rather the students fail to remind mom or dad to arrange the photo session on time, or the hectic schedules of fall/back to school and such, it's anyone's guess. In any case, it is the most common "I need it yesterday" requests I receive for photo sessions.
On the other hand, I love doing seniors. And then seeing their expressions when they see their own portraits is often delightful!
I have hands down, done more senior photo sets than any other one sector of photography.
I provide a photo session that generally allows up to 2 hours for a selection of photos in various poses and sets within the proximity of the shoot location.
Additionally, this time allows for a change of clothing if desired. I strongly encourage using the props of letter jackets, jerseys and any other special affects that are of some significance to the person being photographed.
In some instances, it works out great to add a pet to some of the poses as well. I have had horses and dogs both included in past senior sessions that have turned out awesome!
I like to learn what the person is particularly interested in and work on their desires, rather than to do a routine set of pictures. Are they more rural, country, city or sports minded? Let's think outside of the box when we determine the shoot locations and props!
It can and should be a fun filled time that they can cherish in their memories when reflecting on their photographs they will have forever.
I provide a disk with copyrights for my customers, enabling them to choose from "ALL" of the photos I take, that are viable (not just limited to a few of my choosing). With this in hand, you will be able to have printed whatever photos you like now and indefinitely in the future, without ever having to order through me! And best of all, You will save enough money, by doing them this way, that every aunt/uncle, grandparent and friend can have a copy too!
